HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-75-100110-23-75 RPCteb "SU PPORTI'/E DOCU`.1ENiS FOLLOW" RESOLUTION NO. 75-11 1 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED PROM LAMAR UNIFORMS FOR FURNISHING UNIFORMS, AS REQUIRED, FROM DATE OF AWARD THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1976 FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AS PER PRICE SCHEDULE ATTACHED HERETO, AT A TOTAL COST NOT TO EXCEED $140,000.00: AUTHORIZ- I NG AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THIS MATERIAL, USING FUNDS FROM THE 1975-76 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET IN THE SUPPORT SERVICES SECTION OF THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received September 22, 1975 for furnishing uniforms, as required, from uate of award through September 30, 1976 for the Police Department; anu MIEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-four (24) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received, as per the attached tabulation; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $140,000.00 bid received from Lamar Uniforms is the most advantageous bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm: and WHEREAS, funds will be available from the 1975-76 Fiscal Budget in the Support Services Section of the Department for tl:e aforesaid material: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION O "DOCUMENT INDEX THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORI DA s D •, ITEM NO.
