CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE STATE OE FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT
OF' ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION AND THE CITY
OI'' MIAMI FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NOISE~
POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM.
wtt REAS, the City Commission on February 27, 1075, adopted
Resolution ?5-24t authorizing anti directint the City Manager to tte»
iZotiate and enter into an agreement with Dr. Stanley Dunn, Associate
Professor of Ocean Ei inecrint;, Florida Atlantic University, to im-
plement a noise abatement program for the City of ;Miami: and
'WHEREAS, the City of Ltiami, by entering into an agreement
Frith the State of Florida, Department of Environmental Regulation,
can mai,c both State and City funds available to Florida Atlantic
tniversity, hereinafter referred to as "the university and
WHEREAS, Dr. Stanley Dunn is now emnloyed by the University"
and will be responsible to "the University' for the proper conduct of the
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED 1 V THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an agreement between the State of Florida. De-
partment of Environmental Regulation and the City of Miami for the
development of a Noise Pollution Control Program.
