Equippinq of New Fire Station No. 6
I have reviewed the list of equipment proposed for Fire Station
No. 6 with Deputy Chiefs Proli and Brice. I recommend that we
move quickly to purchase this equipment with funds from the Fire-
fighting and Rescue Facilities Bond Fund. Mr. Bailey indicates
that this is a legitimate use of these funds and follows established
procedures.
A resolution should be prepared and submitted at the next Commission
meeting. This equipment should be ordered and in place no later
than November 15, which is the date they will move into the new fire
station.
The equipment which was in the old station for the most part is not
se!iceable. You will recall that this station is now 55 years old
and the equipment such as lockers, pots and pans, and old beds can-
not be used in the ne►, station.
