WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board, at its meeting of September 22, 1975, Item No. 13, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 127-75 by a 7 to 0 vote recommending the official vacation and closure of the northerly E-W Alley and N-S Alley within the boundary of Tract "A" of the Tentative Plat "BISCAYNE FEDERAL PLAZA" No. 930-B as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION Of' THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The northerly E-W Ailey and N-S Alley within the boundary of Tract "A" of the Tentative Plat "BISCAYNE FEDERAL PLAZA" No. 930-8, located on Lots 1 through 10, Block 10, MARAMAR THIRD AND (5-4) being went side Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 17th Terrace and 18th Street, be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, abandoned and discontinued for public use, all in accordance with said plat. G.(31 L12.6e f0 e on. erences between City officials and Biscayne Federal F3ank have resulted in approval of Tentative Plat No. 930-i3 which will allow Biscayne Federal Wink to consolidate lot' 1 through 10 into one block by the closure ox the .;-s and C-W alleys; and further to prepare plans for a major new building for Biscayne Federal wank, at which time alleyways will be vacated and public utilities relocated. Verna Johnson here. we're asking for the closing of the alleys because they have •:scene: their purpose. tit the ,present tine, Biscayne federal owns all of e.s1u property surrounding it. ':here aro no wore single family homes in,this particular area and the purpose has been served. It's y hardship to us and today we have a very large security problem. :I@ want to put up a couple of barricades at night and we've had some incidents there, even though we've complied with all the lights and we have a considerable amount of parking around there. but it is really a problem today and so we're asking because the purpose has been served and that the alleys be closed so that we can continue with our business there on 18th Street and the Boulevard. ;4r.
