Smathers, Secretary of State, is planning a ceremony at City Hatl on October 23, 1975, commemorating the naming of four Miami sites on the Nationat Register of Historic Places. Mr. Srnathers will personally give memorial proclamations to the tour recipients. The four sites are. as follows: Pan American Air Terminal. now the Miami City Hall, at Dinner l<ey. 2. The first schoolhouse in Coconut Grove, moved to the site of Plymouth Congregational Church on Main tlita,hway to escape demolition. 3. Women's Club of Coconut Grove at McFarlane Road and South iiayehore Drive, next to the library. 4. Dr. Jackson's Office, 100 SF 12th Terrace in the 13rickelt area. The Secretary of State's local office is in charge of coordinating arrangements for this ceremony. in cooperation with the City of Miami Department of Publicity and Tourism, and it will be promoted as a Bicentennial event.
