TION OFTHE DALLAS PARR APARTMENTS, AND BY.
APPROPRIATING $266,193,00 AS ADDITIONAL
EXPENDITURES FOR THE OPERATION OF THE
DALLAS PARM< APARTMENTS; FURTHER APPROVING
AN ATTACHED PROGRAM BUDGET FOR ,THE OPERATION
OF THE DALLAS PARK APARTMENTS; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES, OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY„PROVISION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Dallas. Park Apartments, 227 S. E. 1st Avenue,
Miami,. Florida, were purchased by the City of Miami as a site
for proposed convention center and
WHEREAS,at the time of acquisition of the aforesaid
property which has two (2) commercial buildings and four (4)
store locations in addition to a 12-story apartment house there are
seventy-eight (78) lessees residing at said property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has assumed the written
with the lessees which expire at various date; and
WHEREAS, there will be an elapse of an indefinite
period of time until said building will be demolished until
the apartments are vacated; and
WHEREAS, it is agreed to allow lessees to remain at
said property untiltheCity initiates demolition and the City
agrees to provide maximum advance notification to all tenants
required to vacate said premises, such notification to be not
less than sixty (60) days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA

Section 2. All ordinances, code sections of parts
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, sentence,, clause, phrase,
or word of this ordinance is for any reason held or declared
to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole.
Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be
an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need for
the preservation of peace, health, safety and property in the
City of Miami.
Section 5. The requirement of reading thisordinance
on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of
not less than four -fifths of the members of the commission.
