AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENbINd SECTION 564900 OP THE CODE OE TEE CITY OF` MIAMI, BY AUTHOR- IZINO TAXICABS AND PoR t- IRE VEHICLES OPERATIN4 IN THE CITY TO PAINT, CARRY OR MOUNT SIGNS, RLACAibS, DECALS ANb EMBLEMS DISPLAYING ANb ANNOUNCING THE BICENTENNIAL CCFLEBRATION OE THE POUNDING OP THE UNITED STATES OE AMERICA► RE IT ORbAINEb BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF' MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1, Section 56-29(b) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, is amended in the following particu 1/ lars (b) For -hire vehicles shall be:painted in the standard colors for passenger:vehicles employed by the manufacturers:of such vehicles. No light fixtures or lights shall be attached to or exposed so as to be visible outside any for -hire vehicle, except such as are'required, by-law. No name, number or advertisement of any kind, except official license emblems' or plates, shall be painted or carried so as to be visible outside any for -hire vehicle. Taxicabs and for -hire vehicles operating in the city are authorized to paint, carry or mount signs, placards, decals and emblems displaying and announcing the Bicentennial Celebration"of the founding of the United States of America_ • Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need for the preservation of peace, health, safety and property in the city of Miami.
