to bring the street to its fully zoned width. The City of
Miami has negotiated with Ward B. Brooker and Thelma L.
Brooker, the owpsr4 of the land in question, with the end
result being that in exchange for the required dedication.
the City of Miami agreed that at no cost to owner. it would

by this construction abutting their property on the N. W. 2$

In the design of the Garden Sanitary Sewer improvement 6-5365,
the best possible location for the installation to serve
those properties in the unsewered portion of N. W. 28
Street between N. V. 19-21 Avenues was under the sidewalk of
the northerly side of N. W. 25 Street. The construction in
this location will .also reduce the cost that the abutting
property owners must pay for the sewer and their maintenance
of the @ewer laterals. The City of Miami has obtained dedi-
cations of all the southerly 25-foot strips of land along
this stretch except from one lot. The owner of the aforesaid
strip of land has now executed and delivered to the City of
Miami a Highway Right -of -Way Deed for the conveyance of sane,
thus making total and contiguous the 25-foot stripe of
dedication along said stretch.

** The City of Miami has been requested by Sanitary Linen
Service Co., the owner of 450± feet of property at the sub-
ject location, to include within the Fashion District Highway
Improvement program the paving of the north 13 feet of time
aforesaid property. In order for the City to honor this
request, the owner was told that he would be obliged to:
(a) dedicate the aforesaid strips of land to the City of
Miami as the City is unable by law to effect any improvements
on private property, and (b) be subject to the full assess-
ment charge assigned to the improvement. In full accord,
this owner executed and delivered a Highway Right -of -Way

Way as part of the Citv_'s proposed FER?' ISLE SOUTH FORK PARK;
and directing the City Manager and City Clerk to execute and

** The City has acquired all the land necessary for the develop-
ment of Fern isle South Fork Park except an abutting 40-foot
State-owned right-of-way. This right-of-way originally was
intended to provide .access to privately owned property lying
north of the East-West Expressway. In developing the park
area, it was determined that we should try to get title to
this right-of-way to control access and also for landscaping
along its southerly perimeter. As a result of negotiations
with the State, it was agreed to lease the 40-foot wide strip
right-of-way at a nominal fee rather than purchase it. The
State has forwarded to the City a lease agreement which has
been approved by the Citv's Department of Law. This agreement
will require execution by the City Manager and City Clerk
