HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-75-09621 N/rr 1©/9/7S RESOL' ION NC . .7 5'9 6 7 A RESOLUTION STATING THa INTENTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TD APPROPRIATE FUNDS '10 PROVIDE POR CON- TINUATION NUATION Of CERTAIN OF PIE PROGRAMS INITIATED PREVIOUSLY AND FUNDED THROUGH FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS AVAILABLE TO THE CITY OF MIAMI' FURTHER AUTHORIZ- ING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO CONTINUE FUNDING PROGRAMS RECEIVING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS UNDER THE 1974-75 APPROPRIATION AT THE SAME RATE THEY WERE FUNDED UNDER THAT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE, SUCH RATE OF FUNDING TO CONTINUE UNTIL THE CITY COM- MISSION ADOPTS THE APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1975-76 ALLOCATING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS TO THE APPROPRIATE RECIPIENTS TO CARRY OUT SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS. • WHEREAS, the City of Miami has supported certain programs of benefit to the citizens of the City of Miami through appropriation of Federal +tevenue Sharing Funds: and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission to continue that process, and WHEREAS, there are certain of the programs thus funded which are in dire need of funds to continue their operation until a further study of the financial requirements can be made; IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. FWRIDAs Section 1. That it is the intention of the Commission of the City of Miami to appropriate funds to provide for con- tinuation of certain of the programs initiated previously and funded through Federal Revenue Sharing Funds available to the City of Miami. The City Manager and the appropriate city offi- cials are authorised to continue funding programs receiving Federal Revenue Sharing funds under the 1974-75 appropriation at the same rate they were funded under that appropriation ordinance, such rate of funding to continue until the City Commission adopts the appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year 1975-76 allocating Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to the appropriate recipients to carry out imocial services programs.
