PASSED SEPTEMBER 4, 1975 AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION FOR
A GRANT TO DEFRAY THE COST OF AN EX/STING
PROJECT DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE MIAMI POLICE
DEPARTMENT WITH INFORMATION FROM COMMUNITY
SOURCES ON THE SUCCESS OF OPERATING POLICE
POLICIES TO REFLECT THAT THE CITY CASH MATCH
WILL BE INCREASED FROM $7,812 TO $8,102,
DUE TO NEW GUIDELINES SET DOWN 8Y LEEA REGARD-
ING MATCH IN SECOND YEAR GRANTS. THE TOTAL
AWARD REMAINING THE SAME.
WHEREAS, new guidelines have recently been set down
by LEA regarding the calculation of the state and local match
in second year grants:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY VF MIAMI, FLOitIDA:

ber 4, 1975, authorizing the City Manager to apply to the Depart-
ment of Justice Law Enforcement Assistance Administration for a
grant to defray the cost of an existing project designed to pro-
vide the Miami Police Department with information from community
sources on the success of operating police programs is hereby
amended to reflect that the City cash match will be increased
from $7,812 to $8,102, due to new guidelines set down by LEAA
regarding the calculation of the state and local match in
second year grants, the total award remaining the same.

As you are aware. 1 recently asked you to amend a Resolution involving the
i.T.O.P. Robbery/au:glary Grant. This amendment was needed because Lam►
changed the procedure• for calculating the state and local matches in
all second year grants. it is requested that• these changes alsu be reflected
in Resolutions 75-797 and 75-798.
i have enclosed copies of these Resolutions and they reflect the necessary
changes in the state and local matches.
