A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTIoN NO. 75-797
PASSED SEPTEMBER 4, 1975 AUTHoRISXNO THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION FOR
A GRANT TO DEFRAY THE COST or AN EXISTING PRO-
JECT DESIGNED TO INCREASE PARTICIPATION OF
YOUNG PEOPLE AND MEMBERS OF MINORITY POPULATION
GROUPS WITHHIN THE MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT, TO
REFLECT THAT THE CITY CAS!! MATCH WILL BE
INCREASED FROM $15, 520 TO $26,466, DUE TO NEW
GUIDELINES SET DOWN BY LEAA REGARDING MATCH IN
SECOND YEAR GRANTS, TUE TOTAL AWARD REMAINING
THE SAME.
WHEREAS, new guidelines have recently been set down
by ',CAA regarding the calculation of the state and local match
in second year grants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
TUE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 5-797 passed Septemrer 4,
1975 authorizing the City Manager to apply to the Department of
Justice Law Enforcement Assistance Administration for a grant to
defray the cost of an existing project designed to increase parti-
cipation of young poeple and members of minority population groups
within the Miami Police Department is hereby amended to reflect
that the City cash match will be increased from $25,520 to
$26,466, due to new guidelines set down by LEAA regarding the
calculation of the state and local match in second year grants,
the total award remaining the same.

As you are aware, i recently asked you to amend a Resolution involving the
•.T.O.I. Robbeiry/Surglary Grant. This amendment was needed because ice►
changed the procedures for calculating the state and local matches in
al] second year grants. It is requested that these changes also be reflected
in Resolutions 75-797 and 75-79e.

changes in the state and local matches.
