RESoLVTION NO. 75.952
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY RACER TO
REIMBURSE THE CITY of SHREVEPG RT, LOU IS IANA
FOR THE EMERGENCY PURCHASE cF THREE SPECIALLY
CONSTRUCTED USED BOXING RINGS AT A TOTAL COST
OF $7,500, WITH FUNDS AVAILABLE PROM THE PARKS
FOR PEOPLE ii0ND FUND ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, the City had the, opportunity to purchase
from the City of Shreveport, L'uisiana three custom.made boxing
rings, which had been used only once, at a total cost of $7,500,

WHEREAS, the listed c?taloq price for three new custom
rade boxing rings of lesser (Tuali.ty would have totaled $15,6001 and
WHEREAS, the continuance of the City's Recreation
Program, run by the Department of Parks and Recreation, is depen-
dent upon the procurement of the aforesaid boxing rings, thereby
materially benefiting the health and convenience of the c tizens
of the City of Miami, Florida;
NOW, TIHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
TIIE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager he, and is hereby,
authorized to reimburse the City of Shreveport, Louisiana
$7,500 for three specially constructed boxing rings aeauired
on an emergence -asis, with funds available from the Parks for
People Bend Fund Account.
