A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-
WAY DEED or DEDICATION EXECUTED BY WARD B.
SNOOKER AND THELMA L. BROOKER, CONVEYING TO THE
CITY or MIAMI FOR HIGHWAY WIDENING THE SOUTH
10 FEET OF LOT 14 OF WOODLAWN TRACT, AS RECORDED
IN PLAT BOOK 1, AT PAGE 14S, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS
OE DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND DIRECTING THE
PROPER OFFICIAL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO RECORD SAID
DEED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.

WHEREAS, the south 10 foot strip of land of private

property (50 feet wide) abutting the north side of N.W. 25 Street
12 located on the northwest corner of N.W. 25 Street and N.W. 3 Avenue,
13 is required by the City of Miami to bring the street to its fully
14 zoned width; and
15 WHEREAS, in a mutual accord with the City, the owner of
lb this property agreed to dedicate the aforesaid strip of land in

exchange for the construction by the City of sidewalk on the N.W.
25 Street side only of his property, including the transplanting
of any shrubbery disturbed as a result of this construction, at no
cost to the owner; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the value of the aforesaid
strip of land exceeds the cost to the City for the aforesaid
improvement; and
WHEREAS, the owners have executed and delivered to the
City of Miami a Highway Right -of -Way Deed of Dedication for this
required land; and
WHEREAS, it is now in order for the City of Miami to
accept the aforementioned Deed and to have it recorded in the Publi-
Records co. Dade County, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COIIIISSION

of W00DLAWN TRACT, as recorded in Plat book 1, at Page 140► of
the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, be and the same
is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The proper official of the City of Miami
be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to record the
aforementioned Right -of -Kay Deed in the Public Records of Dads
County, Florida.

The City of Miami requires right-of-way on N.W. 25th Street to bring
the street to its fully zoned width.
The City of Miami has negotiated with Ward B. Brooker and Thelma L.
Brooker, the owners of the land in question, with the end result being
that in exchange for the required dedication, the City of Miami agreed
that at no cost to owner, it would construct sidewalk and transplant
any shrubbery disturbed by this construction abutting their property on
the N.W. 25 Street side only.
The City has estimated that the value of the dedicated land exceeds the
cost to the City for the aforesaid improvement.
In full accord, the owners have executed and delivered to the City of
Miami a Highway Right -of -Way Deed of Dedication for the required land.
IF is now in order for the City Commission to accept the aforesaid deed
and to have it recorded in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF THE RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING THE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY DEED OF DEDICATION E CUTED BY WARD B.
