Pr-tc atiu Purpose: To establish a processing fee for Standard Certificate of Appropriateness. Estimated Direct Economic Impact: • There are no direct compliance costs that businesses may reasonably incur if this ordinance is enacted. • When making alterations to historically designated structures or to structures within a historic district a review/ process fee will be charged at building permitting to cover the cost of the specialized review. There is no new fee associated with operating a business within a historic district or designated historic structure. • The actual cost of these services incurred by the City is estimated $780,255.97 and the estimated revenue from the new fee for fiscal year 2025-2025 is $1.1 million. Estimated Number of Businesses to be Impacted: • The estimated number of businesses to be impacted by this amendment cannot be determined due to the ambiguities created by the nature of the amendment. • All applicants filing for a Building Permit that require a Certificate of Appropriateness via the Historic Preservation Office will be impacted.
