RESOLUTION NO. 37/2026
A RESOLUTION OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA ("MIAMI DDA") EXPRESSING ITS
SUPPORT FOR THE ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL HOSTED AT
BAYFRONT PARK; DIRECTING THE CEO/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
OF THE MIAMI DDA TO TRANSMIT THIS RESOLUTION TO CITY OF
MIAMI ("CITY") OFFICIALS
WHEREAS, the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Miami, Florida's ("Miami
DDA") mission statement is "to grow, strengthen & promote the economic health and vitality of Downtown
Miami"; and
WHEREAS, the Miami DDA is a quasi -independent public agency of the City of Miami ("City")
charged with making Downtown Miami the most livable urban center in the nation and strengthening its
position as the Epicenter of the Americas...an international center for commerce, culture, and tourism; and
WHEREAS, Event Entertainment Group, Inc. ("EEG") produces the Ultra Music Festival ("Ultra")
that has been hosted at Bayfront Park for the last twenty (20) years; and
WHEREAS, the Miami DDA supports Ultra's economic and cultural impact to Downtown Miami;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Commission is considering a license agreement with EEG to
continue to host Ultra at Bayfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the Miami DDA's Board of Directors supports the City Commission approving a license
agreement with EEG to produce Ultra at Bayfront Park, in accordance with the terms and conditions of
such agreement including a one year revocable license; and, in light of Ultra's continued commitment to
minimizing impacts on Downtown community stakeholders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The CEO/Executive Director is hereby directed to transmit this Resolution of support
for Ultra to all current City Commissioners, the City Clerk, and the City Manager to express the Miami
DDA's support for Ultra at Bayfront Park.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
