A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER 52/ARTICLE I/SECTION 52-2(H) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TITLED "SPECIAL EVENTS/SPECIAL
EVENTS IN GENERAL; DURATION AND LIMITATIONS; CITY COMMISSION
WAIVER/SPECIAL EVENTS ON CITY OF MIAMI PROPERTY" TO WAIVE THE
TIME LIMITATION OF TEN (10) SPECIAL EVENTS PER YEAR PER
LOCATION FOR THE SPECIAL EVENTS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE AT
THE CITY OF MIAMI PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3385 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, FROM APRIL 23, 2026, TO DECEMBER 31, 2026, WITH
CONDITIONS AS STATED HEREIN.
SPONSOR(S): Commissioner Damian Pardo
WHEREAS, the property located at 3385 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida
("Property") is owned by the City of Miami, Florida ("City") and has held its maximum of ten (10)
Special Events this 2026 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, a public property is allowed ten (10) Special Events, fourteen (14) days
each per location in any calendar year pursuant to Section 52-2(h) of the Code of the City of
Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"); and
WHEREAS; the Property requires a waiver of the Special Event limitation as provided for
in Section 52-2(i) of the City Code, wherein the number and time limitations for Special Events
on public property may be waived upon an affirmative vote of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, from April 23, 2026, through December 31, 2026, the Property will be host
to charitable and other such Special Events ("Events"); and
WHEREAS, some of the Events have a standing history of being held at the Property;
and
WHEREAS, these events spotlight our community, attract visitors and locals alike, and
promote the City in a positive light; and
WHEREAS, notwithstanding the issuance of this waiver pursuant to Section 52-2(i) of
the City Code, any Event must comply with all other City Code requirements and applicable
Florida law; and
WHEREAS, three (3) or more City Code violations issued at the Property will result in an
automatic rescission of this approval and this waiver shall be deemed void;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Special Event limitation of ten (10) events per calendar year per public
property is waived for the property located at 3385 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, to host
various Events from April 23, 2026, through December 31, 2026. All Special Event applicants
are required to obtain permits as necessary and pay all fees for each applicable Event.
Section 3. Three (3) or more violations of the City Code will result in an automatic
rescission of this waiver.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
