The services focus on addressing academic challenges and promoting skill development in high -poverty neighborhoods. FOCAL provides targeted services and enrichment activities that support academic success and help build self-confidence among participants. Through structured activities, workforce development, field trips, and travel experiences, students build academic, life, and job skills. Participants also explore diverse cultures and gain exposure to opportunities beyond their communities. Program Start Date: 1/1/2026 Program End Date: 12/31/2026 Please describe how this program/project and funding will alleviate poverty within the City of Miami? This program helps alleviate poverty by providing students from low-income communities with academic support, job readiness skills, and exposure to educational and career opportunities. Afterschool activities, training, and enrichment experiences increase school success and employability. These efforts support long-term economic mobility and help break cycles of poverty in the City of Miami. IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE: Describe the overall expected outcomes and performance measures for this project/program. And, list. the supporting documentation that will be submitted with the Close Out Report: The program aims for a 97% grade -level promotion rate and a 1 polo improvement in performance measures. Student demographics, along with pre -test and post-test assessments, will be monitored. Report cards, standardized test scores, surveys, and employment tracking will be ensure expected outcomes.
