The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board was created to exercise supervisory
control over the activities of the director and the staff of the Downtown Development Authority.
Thirteen (of the seventeen) members of the DDA shall be appointed by the current board of
directors of the DDA and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be
appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami -Dade County and submitted to the
City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Cabinet of the State
and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the
Miami Dade College and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation.
• The Commission -At -Large is being requested to confirm the appointments of the
following individuals:
1. Chris Hodgkins, a member appointed by the Miami Downtown Development Board of
Directors to the Art & Entertainment District Seat, and submitted to the city commission
for confirmation, for a term ending December 31, 2030.
2. Jose Bermudez, a member appointed by the Miami Downtown Development Board of
Directors to the Brickell District Seat, and submitted to the city commission for
confirmation, for a term ending December 31, 2030.
3. Cristina Palomo, a member appointed by the Miami Downtown Development Board of
Directors to the At -Large Seat, and submitted to the city commission for confirmation,
for a term ending December 31, 2030.
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said authority. By copy
of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the March 12,
2026, Commission agenda.
