GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR ("FY") 2025-2026, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$162,000.00 IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY, FROM DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
Background of Item:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 25-0421, adopted October 9, 2025, the Miami City
Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
funds in the Public Service category for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2025-2026, in the total
amount of $761,200.61, which included an amount of $162,896.61 to the Department of
Housing and Community Development to be allocated.
These funds need to be reallocated to the agencies as, specified in Exhibit "A,"
attached and incorporated, for public service activities in District 5.
The City's Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the Public
Service category, in the amount of $162,000.00 from the Department of Housing and
Community Development to the agencies, specified in Exhibit "A," attached and
incorporated, for public service activities in District 5.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR ("FY") 2025-2026, IN THE AMOUNT OF
ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($162,000.00) IN
THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY, FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A,"
ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES, IN
DISTRICT 5; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS,
RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE
TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS
THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-25-0421, adopted October 9, 2025, the Miami
City Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
funds in the Public Service category for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2025-2026, in the total amount of
Seven Hundred Sixty -One Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars and 61/100 Cents ($761,200.61),
which included an amount of One Hundred Sixty -Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninety -Six
Dollars and 61/100 Cents ($162,896.61) to the Department of Housing and Community
Development ("HCD") to be allocated at a later date; and
WHEREAS, there is need for these funds to be reallocated to the agencies as, specified
in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities in District 5; and
WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the
Public Service category, in the amount of One Hundred Sixty -Two Thousand and 00/100 Dollars
($162,000.00) from HCD to the agencies, specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for
public service activities in District 5;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG funds in the Public Service category, in the amount
of One Hundred Sixty -Two Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($162,000.00) from HCD to the
agencies specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities in
District 5 is authorized.'
1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be
imposed, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms
acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state, and local laws that regulate the use
of such funds for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
