R-25-0337, ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2025, TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS UP TO ONE HUNDRED TWENTY PERCENT (120%) OF AREA MEDIAN INCOME ("AMI"), FOR THE SALES OF CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") OWNED PROPERTIES APPROXIMATELY LOCATED AT 1544 NW 58 TERRACE, 1465 NW 60 STREET, 1755 NORTHWEST 2 AVENUE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS 1755 NORTHWEST 2 COURT), AND 411 NORTHEAST 69 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SPONSOR(S): Commissioner Christine King WHEREAS, on September 11, 2025, pursuant to Resolution No. R-25-0337, the Miami City Commission approved the sale with affordable housing restrictions, of the homes located at 1544 Northwest 58 Terrace, 1465 Northwest 60 Street, 1755 Northwest 2 Avenue (formerly known as 1755 Northwest 2 Court), and 411 Northeast 69 Street, Miami, Florida (the "Properties"), to qualified applicants within an income range of one hundred -twenty percent (120%) to one hundred -forty percent (140%) of Area Median Income ("AMI") as published annually by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") now desires to modify said income eligibility to prioritize affordability by restricting the sale of the Properties to qualified applicants with an annual household income not to exceed one hundred -twenty percent (120%) AMI; and WHEREAS, once the homes on the Properties are fully constructed, they will sell, at or below cost, for affordable homeownership housing to eligible applicants whose annual income is up to one hundred -twenty percent (120%) AMI; and WHEREAS, the City's Administration hereby recommends the modification of the income eligibility requirements for the purchase of the City -owned Properties, as previously set forth in Resolution No. R-25-0337, by restricting the sale of these homes to qualified applicants with an annual household income not to exceed one hundred - twenty percent (120%) of the AMI. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Commission authorizes' the modification of the eligibility requirements for the purchase of the City -owned Properties previously authorized in Resolution No. 25-0337 to qualified applicants up to 120% of AMI. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be imposed, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions.
