AS AMENDED, B ' REDItCINO ITEM No. 14, MARTIN

CENTER; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND CODE

ARE IN CONFt.,ICT', AND PROVIDING iOR AN EPPEC-
TIVE DATE.,
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that
an emergency eXists inthe funding of the Wynwood Community
Day care center; and
WHEREAS,, said center:desperately needs $15,330';
and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami intends to replace the
sum of $15,330 in the funds originally allocated to the
Martin Luther King Development Corporation when the Federal
Revenue Sharing allocations are made in the appropriations
for social.services in the 1975-76 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 8342 dated December 17,
1974, as amended, is hereby further amended by reducing the
funds allocated under Item 14, Martin Luther King Development,
Corporation by $15,330 from $85,000 to $69,670 and restoring
the sum of$15,330 to the Wynwood Community Day Care Center.
Section 2, All ordinances, code sections or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,
are hereby repealed.
Section 3, If any section, sentence, clause,
phrasef or Word cif' this ordiharice is for any feasoh held of•
declared to be unconstittitiohai
inoperative of Void; stich
holding or 'invalidity shall .trot affect. the teMaihin4 portions
cf this ordinance.
.Section.4. This ordinance is hereby. declared to
be an emergency measure on: the ground of urgent public need.
Section5. This ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
Section 6. The requirement of reading this ordi-
nance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a Vote
f not less than'four-fifths of the members of the Commission.

Ehergency Ordinance for Wynwood
Community Day Care Center
On July 31, 1975, the City Commission determined that an
emergency existed in the funding of the Edison -Little River
Self -Help Community Council - Project Youth, and adopted
Ordinance No. 8434, which reduced Wynwood Community Day
Care Center's revenue sharing funds from $40, 000 to $24, 670.
It is now necessary to replace the $15, 330 to the Wynwood
Community Day Care Center account so that their program
can be fully funded.
In order to replace these funds, it is proposed that the Miami
City Commission adopt an emergency ordinance re -appropriating
$15, 330 from the $85, 000 appropriated for the Martin Luther
King Development Corporation to fund the relocation of residents
in conjunction with the Boulevard property acquisition. The
funds for this relocation will not be needed until the next fiscal
year. It is proposed and will be necessary that these funds be
replaced off of the top of the 1975-76 Social Service Program
Federal Revenue Sharing allocations.
