tively, approving the Civil Service Rules and regulations of
the City of Miami, by amending the last sentence of Rule XIV,

Employees' Retirement System (Ordinance No. 2230,
December 6, 1939, as amended) end the Miami City General
Employees' Retirement Plan (Ordinance No. 5624, May 2,
1956, as amended), as appearing in codificat.in forte as
a part of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida, 1957, as amended, more particularly amending
subsections 2-91(2) and 2-109(3a) of said Chapter 2 by
adding the positions of Assistant City Clerk, Assistant
Executive Secretary of the Civil Service Board and
Assistant Executive Secretary of the Planning Board or
its predecessor, the Planning and Zoning Board, to the
positions already enumerated, to be eligible for an addi-
tional retirement benefit of one per cent of average final
compensation for each year of service or fraction thereof
that such member serves as Assistant?City Clerk, Assistant
Executive Secretary of the Civil Service Board and
Assistant Executive Secretary of. the Planning Board or its
predecessor, the Planning and Zoning Board, providing that
upon service retirement the member of said Retirement
System or Retirement Plan has three or more years service
since last becoming a member and providing that he has
served in any of such capacities for total combined period
of not less than three years, subject thereto to a maximum
length of service amounting to ten years for the purpose
of computing additional pension allowance; containing a
severability provision; and repealing all ordinances, Code
sections or parts thereof in conflict, insofar as they are
in conflict. _ .

** Resolution accepting the completed work perfcn ed by

authorising a final payment of $5, 925 for the

Prise Corporation has completed the Virginia they Pill
1975 project consisting of excavating and hauling
approximately 150,000 cubic yards of fill from the
north end of Virginia Rey to the Sanitation Department
landfill site on Virginia Keys The fill was spread and
stockpiled for use in preventing fires at the Sanitation
Department dump site. This was a unit item contract in
the amount of $59,250 which was the actual construction
cost, and the work was completed ahead of time. It is
now in order for the Commission to accept the completed
work and authorize final payment after all conditions
are met.

20. ** Resolution accepting the completed work performed by
DECONCO, INC., at a total cost of $37,082.25 and
authorizing a final payment of $3,843.68 for the
WAINWRIGHT PARK IMPROVEMENTS - 1975.
** Deconco, Inc. has completed the renovation of an existing
building to provide restrooms and a Park Attendant's
office in Wainwright Park, at 2845 Brickell Avenue. The
project also included the installation of 950 feet of
security fencing. The construction was completed for
$37,082.25, which was within the contract amount, and
it was completed on time. It is now in order for the
Commission to accept the completed work and authorize
final payment, after all conditions are met.
City Manager recommends.
21. ** Resolution accepting the completed work performed by
REDLAND CONSTRUCTION CO., INC, at a total coat of $58,950
and authorizing a final payment of $5,895 for the
BICENTENNIAL PARK - PHASE II (Project No. 1 ,- Subgrading).
*-&..7.4,� �** Redland Construction Co,, Inc. has completed the grading
of existing bay bottom fill which had been placed over the
former Commercial Dock area, and relocated an existing on
site stock -piled top soil to designated areas. The
project was completed for $58,950, which was within the
contrs"t amount, and it was completed on time. It is now
in order for the Commission to accept the completed work

** On Mat=th 13, 1968, the City Cotritiission passed and adopted
Resolution No. 39503 for the issuance of a permit to C. C.
Rebozo, C. V. W. Trice, Jr., and Catherine J. Trice, his
wife, to construct a temporary sanitary sewer force train
to serve their shopping center located at the N. E. corner
of N. W. 22 Avenue and 11 Street. A condition to issuing
this permit was that the aforesaid owners would be
required to execute and deliver to the City of Miami a
Covenant to Run with the Land which required them to
disconnect from this temporary sewer and reconnect to a
City sanitary sewer abutting their property when it was
put into operation. This condition Was met when said
owners executed and delivered the aforesaid Covenant to Run
with the Land to the City of Miami. When the abutting City
sewer was activated, the owners made the required changeover
to the total satisfaction of the City. Since all the
conditions of the aforesaid covenant have been met, there is
no reason for it to remain in effect.

A 4, Purchase Order No. 078231 was previously issued to Downtown

Chrysler -Plymouth, who is in the process of going out of
business. It is necessary to confirm the City Manager's
action of issuing Purchase Order No. 079290 to Northside
Motors, Inc., the second lowest bidder under Bid No. 74-
75-127 at a total cost of $12,200. and Purchase Order No.
079291 to Colonial Dodge for two vans under State of
Florida Bid specification No. 11. for $10,359.90. The
emergency purchase of these vehicles enabled the School
Resource Officer programs to commence as scheduled at the
beginning of the school year.

Subsection 17-194(d) and substituting therefore a new
Subsection 17-194(d); Enacting Rules and Regulations for
automotive self-service gasoline stations; defining
self-service gasoline stations; providing for approval of
dispensing devices; providing for mandatory attendance of
attendant; providing for requirements of an attendant
control area and dispensing area; providing for necessary
equipment; providing for warning signs in English and
Spanish; providing for fire control; providing for inspections;

:In July, the City Commission reduced the Wynwood
Community Day Care Center funds from $40, 000 to
$24, 670 in order to fund additional activities at the
Edison -Little River Self-lielp Community Council -
Project Youth. It is now necessary to replace the
$15, 330 for the Wynwood Community Day Care Center
and it is recommended that this ordinance which would
provide a fund transfer from Revenue Sharing Funds
earmarked for Martin Luther King Development
Corporation be utilized. These funds will not be
needed by Martin Luther King Corporation until the
next fiscal year and it is proposed that these replace-
ment funds be provided off of the top of the 1975-76
Social Service Program Federal Revenue Sharing
allocations.
