TOTAL COST OP $514000 PROM 1-4/4,0R/1:5A MUNICIPAL
SALE-84 INC.
wHEREAsi the operation of the City of Miatnits 20th Street
Incinerator Will continue until it has been replaced by the construction of a
proposed solid waste transfer plant; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that it will be approximately 18 months
before the new solid waste transfer plant will be ready for operation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to immediately purchase replacement
ash trailers to continue sanitation service; and
WHEREAS, informal bids have been received from Florida Municipal
Sales, Inc. , the only source of supply, in the amount of $25, 500 each; and
WHEREAS, funds have been provided from Federal Revenue Sharing
funds by Ordinance No. 8345, Item 12, in the amount of $81, 300 for Department
of Sanitation equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the purchase of 2 incin-
erator ash trailers to assure the continuance of proper sanitation services to the
City of Miami citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. That the purchase of 2 replacement incinerator ash
trailers at a total cost of $51, 000 from FLORIDA MUNICIPAL SALES, INC., is
hereby authorized,
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 25TH day of SEPTEMBER , 1975.
