WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received on August 18, 1975 for furnishing one (1)
hydraulic 7-gang mower for use by the Department of Parks
and Recreation: and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
from Tieco, Inc. for furnishing one (1) hydraulic 7-gang mower,
at a total cost of $14,500, be accepted since it was the lowest
responsive bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received from Tieco, Inc. for
furnishing one (1) hydraulic 7-gang mower to the Department of
Parks and Recreation be, and is hereby, accepted at a total cost
of $14,500.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department
to issue a Purchase Order for this equipment from funds avail-
able from Federal Revenue Sharing. "DOCUMENT INDEX

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received
August 18, 1075 for furnishing one industrial sweeper,
one hydraulic 7 gang rower and one earth auger mounted
on truck for the Public Properties Department.
Invitations were mailed to thirty-one (31) potential
suppliers and seven (7) bids were received as per the
attached pages.
Funds are budgeted es follows: Industrial Sweeper -
Miami Modern Police Department Building Fund, Hydraulic
7 Gang Mower - Federal Revenue Sharing. The funds for
the earth auger mounted on truck arc available and
must be allocated from the Storm Sewer Bond Fund.
The sweeper is to be used by the garage of the new
Police Building; the mower by the Parks and Recreation
Department and the earth auger by the Public Works
Department.
It is requested that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid
as received from Allis Chalmers Company for one in-
dustrial sweeper at a cost of $7,346.00, from Tieco
for one hydraulic 7 gang mower at a cost of $14,500.00
and from H. F. Mason Equipment Corp. for one earth
auger mounted on a truck at a cost of $40,827.00, a
total cost of $62,673.00.
The Public Properties Department. concurs with this
recommendation.
