Bt IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OP THE CITY OP
MIAM/, PIJORIDA:
Section 1. A permit be, and it is hereby,
authorized to be issued to Allapattah YMCA and the Cuban
Unit of Jackson Memorial Hospital's Mental Health Program
for amusement rides at 2370 Northwest 17th Avenue in
conjunction with their carnival on October 17, 18, and 19,
1975 subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Such use shall not be established for a
per;_od exceeding seven days, nor shall
any one location be used more often than
once a year.
2. The operators of the amusement rides shall
obtain the necessary licenses, permits and
Certificate of Use.
3. Small tents shall be permitted only to carry
on ride activities.
4. The operators of the amusement rides will
provide sanitary facilities for both male

will not domicile on the property.
6. No alcoholic beverages may be sold on the
premises.
7. The City of Miami Police Department will be
contacted and the number of off -duty police-
men that the Department feels are necessary
to direct traffic and provide for security
will be employed by the permit holder.

Dear Sir:
The Allapattah Branch of the YMCA of Creator Miami and the Cuban Unit
of Jackson Memorial i ospitalis Community Mental Health Program are
planning to cosponsor a Carnival„
The Carnival will be held on 17, 18,and 19 October 1975 as part of our
celebration of Hispanic Heritage Week. It will include both cultural acts
tivities and activities designed to raise funds for the community service
work of the two organizations.
Cultural activities will include:
Performances for singing and dancing groups, a latin dance with an orchestra
(Friday, October 17) and exhibitions of crafts and artwork.
Fund-raising activities will include:
Sale of refreshments raffles, sales of latin food, carnival booths where the
public may win prizes and rides such as ferris wheels, whirls -a• -bouts, merry-
go-round, etc.

The public will be informed that the profits from this activity will be
divided equally between the 2 ccoasponsors and that it will be used by
the 2 ,cep -sponsors in their programs in benefit of the Mllapattah Target
Area.
The ?MCA of Greater Miami is registered as required by chapter 496.
