ORDERS PoR SAID VANS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received July 10, 1975 for furnishing four (4) passenger
vans for use by the School Resource Officer Detail of the
Miami Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has by Resolution
No. 75-87R recognized the subsequent business failure
of the lowest bidder under Bid No. 74-75-127; and
WHEREAS, the School Resource Officer Programs would
not have commenced, as scheduled, at the beginning of the
school year unless passenger vans were purchased on an

WHEREAS, Northside Motors, Inc. had submitted a
ITEM
emergency basis; and
bid for furnishing two (2) passenger vans at a total cost of
$12,200 and this bid was the second lowest bid; and
WHEREAS, Colonial Dodge had submitted a bid for
furnishing two (2) passenger vans at a total cost of $10,359.90,
which hid met State of Florida Specification No. 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager accepted the above bids
from Northside Motors, Inc. and Colonial Dodge without the
prior formal approval or acceptance by the City Commission
in order to avoid delaying the start of the School Resource
Officer Programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;

Sectionads) The attibb taken by the City Manager
ih issuing Purchase Order No. 079290 to Northaide Motors, Inc.,
for furnishing two (2) passenger vans at a total cost of $12,200
for rise by the School Resource Officer Detail of the Police
Department, be and it is hereby ratified.
Beetion_loAb) The action taken by the City Manager
in issuing Purchase Order N . 079290 to Northside Motors, Ind.,
under Bid No. 17475-127 in the amount of $12,200,be and it is
hereby ratified.
Section 2.(a) The action taken by the City Manager
in accepting the bid from Colonial Dodge for two (2) passenger
vans at a total cost of $10,359.90, for use by the School
Resource Officer Detail of the Police Department, be and it
is hereby ratified.
Section 2.(b) The action taken by the City Manager
in issuing Purchase Order No. 079291 to Colonial Dodge in the
amount of $10,359.90 be and it is hereby ratified.

It is requested that a resolution be prepared confirming
the City Manager's action to cancel Purchase Order No. 078231
issued to Downtown Chrysler -Plymouth in accordance with lid
No. 74-75-127, Resolution 7 3-C43, due to the Downtown Chrysler -
Plymouth going out of business. And to prepare a resolution
confirming the City tanager's action of issuing Purchase Order
No. 079230 to ? ort:hside Motors, Inc., the second lowest bidder
under Laid No. 74-75-127 at a total cost of $12,200.00 and
Purchase Order No. 079291 to Colonial Dodge for two vans under
State of Florida t3id specification No. 11. for $10,359.90.
The emergency purchase of these vehicles Enabled the School
Resource Officer programs to commence as scheduled at the
beginning of the school year.
