Marine Stadium Fund Balance tb pro- — Vide funds for security fencing and for purchase of portable pump at N rine Stadium ENCLOsuRES: Oft March 14, 1974, the City Commission passed fiesolution No. 74-178 authori2ing and directing the City Manager to implement certain improvements at the Marine Stadium Complex. Item III-1 on the list of improvements states: "Designate a land area Where dry storage can be provided for boats and trailers; for a fee.tt An area large enough to accommodate approximately one hundred boats and trailers is expected to be operational by August 1, 1975. Because of the heavy demand for the available storage area, the Commission, at a subsequent meeting, expressed a desire to expand on this operation by providing an area large enough to accommodate an additional two hundred boats and trailers. Bids have now been recieved to provide the necessary security fencing and gates for the additional facility, which is planned to be located on part of the existing parking lot southeast of the grandstand. The low bidder was Fence Masters, Inc. at a cost of $5,850. The City Fire Department has requested that a portable water pump be installed on the floating stage, capable of pumping sea water for fire fighting on the barge itself. Cost of this pump and the necessary fittings is $1,300. Funds for these projects are available in the Marine Stadium Fund Balance. It is now in order to transfer the necessary funds from the Marine Stadium Fund Balance for the aforementioned projects. The Department of Public Facilities recommends the adoption of the attached ordinance appropriating $7,150 from the Marine Stadium Fund Balance to provide funds for the installation of security fencing for the dry boat and trailer storage facility and for purchase of a portable pump at the Marine Stadium. • •
