A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSAL OFFERED by
THE CITY MANAGER AV THE PUELIC HEARING
HELD EY THE 1C/TY =MISSION ON
SEPTEMEER 5, 1975, PoR THE RENOVATION
OP THE DINNER KEY AUDITORIUM: AND ?UR-
THER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PROCEED ACCORDING TO FLORIDA STATUTES
To ACQUIRE THE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
?OR THE RENOVATIoN, DESIGN AND PLANS
POR THE RENOVATION OP SAID AUDITORIUM,
WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Perendino, Graft0n,
Spills & Candela conducted a study on behalf of the City of
Miami for the purpose of determining the feasibility of
renovating the Dinner Key Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, said architectural firm advised that a
renovationof the Dinner Key Auditorium was feasible and
recommended generally the manner of refurbishing the Auditorium;
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City
of Miami advised that the Auditorium was structurally sound; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the plan of
renovating the Dinner Key Auditorium offered by the architectural
firm of Ferendino, Grafton, Spills & Candela be accepted, and
that the refurbishing be conducted in the manner as proposed by
said architectural firm;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI;
Section 1 The proposal offered by the City Manaler
at the Public Hearinq held by the City COMMi8Si011 'Oh September #
1975, for the renovation of the binner Xey Auditorium is hereby
approVed.
Section 26 The City Manager is hereby authorized to
proceed according to the Florida Statutes to acquire the archia,
tectural services for the renovation, design and plans for the
renovating of said Auditorium.
