** The rebuilding of approximately 1900 lineal feet of
paving on N.E. 59 Street (NE 2 Ave. to NE 4 Ave.) and
NE 3 Avenue (NE 58 Terr. to NE 59 Terr.) was ordered by
the City Commission at their meeting of July 17, 1975.
It is now in order to confirm the Ordering Resolution and
authorize advertising for bids.

Street were ordered by the City Commission at their
meeting of July 31, 1975. tt is now in order to confirm
the Ordering Resolution and authorise advertising for bids.

** Resolution granting a petition for a Planned Area Develop-
ment in accordance with Ordinance 6871, as amended,
Article XXI-1, for a 10.84 acre tract of land located
approximately 2000 South Bayshore Drive, being all of
SKYLINE SUBDIVISION (68-18) and that portion of Private
Park "A" lying between South Bayshore Drive and Biscayne
Bay between the easterly and westerly line of Lots 9 and
10 of Block "A" of BISCAYNE PARK TERRACE SUBDIVISION
(2-36); vacating said Skyline Subdivision subject to re -
platting of entire 10.84 acre tract designating said
tract as PAD-R-1, all in accordance with the development
plan and statement of intent on file in the office of the
Department of Administration Planning and Zoning Boards,
attaching said plan and statement of intent as a part of
this resolution. No Certificate of Occupancy shall be
issued until an instrument for the future maintenance of
facilities for the common use of the residents in the
development has been approved by the City Attorney, to
the end that such common facilities shall not in the future
become a responsibility of the City of Miami.

21, a. * Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6945 passed and adopted
November 15, 1961, approving the Cirtil Service Rules and
Regulations of the City of Miami, by repealing Rule 1,
Section 8a,, and substituting therefor a new Section 8a.,
providing a new definition of "probationary Employee" and
providing for written notification to a probationary employee
in case of a reduction it rank or discharge; by repealing
Rule 1, Section 13, and substituting therefor a new Section
13, providing a new definition of "Advancement" which
indicates a transfer to a classification with a higher
salary range but which does not constitute a promotion;
by repealing Rule 1, Section 14, subsection (a), and sub-
stituting therefor a new subsection (a) providing a new
definition of "Demotion" and restricting the use of the
term to a reduction in classification resulting from an
unsatisfactory rating or other disciplinary reasons; by
repealing Rule I, Section 14, subsection (b), and sub-
stituting therefor a new subsection (b) , providing for a
definition of "Return to Former Classification" which
indicates the reverting to a former classification not as
a result of disciplinary action; by repealing Rule I,
Section 14, subsection (c), and substituting therefor a
new subsection (c), providing a definition of "Change itt
Classification" indicating a change to a classification in
which the employee had no prior status and not involving
an increase in salary.
b. * Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6945 passed and adopted
November 15, 1961, approving the Civil Service Rules and
Regulations of the City of Miami, by deleting Rule II,
Section 1, subsection (a) and creating a new subsection (a),
which clarifies the rule by substituting the phrase
"conduct and/or oversee the conducting of all examinations"
for "conduct all the examinations"; by deleting Rule II,
Section 2, paragraph 3 in its entirety; by repealing Rule
II, Section 3, and substituting therefor a new Section 3,
allowing the Executive Secretary as well as the Chairman
of the Board to sign vouchers and thus make the rule con-
sistent with actual practice.
c. * Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6945 passed and adopted
November 15, 1961, approving the Civil Service Rules and
Regulations of the City of Miami, by repealing Rule III,
Section 1, subsection (d) and substituting therefor a new
subsection (d), which makes reference to 14 instead of 12
calendar days as the minimum non -recorded leave of absence;
by deleting Rule III, Section 1, subsections (i) in its
entirety to avoid duplication of same requirement with
Rule XIII, Section 1,

last six (6) months or had an unsatisfactory efficiency

land contiguous to the southeastern portion of the New
Port -'of Miami.
** Metropolitan Dade County Department of Public Works has
requested a permit to excavate submerged land contiguous to
the southeastern portion of the New Port of Miami. The
purpose of this excavation is to widen the channel to pre-
vent large research vessels, -which operate out of Miami on
a permanent basis, from running aground while berthing.
There is presently a dredging contractor in the vicinity
who could complete this dredging if all required permits
are obtained promptly. The County has also indicated that
they plan to place the excavated materialon the south side
of Dodge Island.

the best possible location to serve those properties in the

the abutting property owners must pay for the sewer and the
maintenance of the sewer laterials, The City has heretofore
obtained dedications of all the northerly 10 foot strips of
land along this stretch except from one lot, with the result
that this caused a delay in the start of construction. Com-
tnencement can now proceed as the owner of this strip has
executed and delivered a Highway Right -of -Way Deed, thus
making total and contiguous the 10-foot strips of dedication
along said stretch.

under the provisions of the. General Laws of Plorida and
Chapter 15 of the Code of the City of Miami which the City
has adopted and desires to use for heading such non -partisan
Primary Election and such Regular Municipal Election;
designating and appointing the City Clerk as the official
representative of the City Commission with respect to the
use of such registration books and records; directing the
City Clerk to give notice by publication of the adoption of
this Resolution and of the provisions hereof; directing the
City Clerk to cause a certified copy hereof to be delivered
to the Supervisor of Elections of Dade County not less than
forty-five days Prior to the date of such non -partisan
Pritnary Election.

Resolution confirming the action taken by the City Manager in
the submission of a State Grant Application to the Depart-
ment of Community Affairs under the State's assistance for
Community Services Program to initiate a program that
wilt provide: coinniunity child Clay care services; and
further authorizing the City Manager to accept the Grant
and execute contracts and agreements necessary to
implement the program upon receipt of the grant.
