WHEREAS, Article XXXI, Section 3 (2) of Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the City of Miami per -its an extension of a variance by the City Manager, with approval by the City Commission, for a period of one year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA Section 1. The request for a one year extension of the variance granted on the property at 151 N.E. 52nd Street by Zoning Board Resolution No. ZB 36-74 as per Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 1 (6) (b), to permit use of Tract B, Tentative Plat No. 898 "DOUGLAS GARDENS", at 150 N.E. 52nd Street, for Off Street parking with one ten foot opening on N.E. 52nd Street, in conjunction with Jewish Fhome for the Aged, Zoned R-1 (One Family) and R-4 (Medium Density Multiple) Districts, be and the same is hereby granted. Mr. Sidney MO Aronovits has requested that the Varianceifor Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged. Inc. , granted by Resolutions ZS 34-74, ZS 35..74 and 36-74 which would normally expire (after several previous extensions) on September la, 1975, be extended. It is suggested that this natter be placed before the commission on September 4# 1975. Dear Mr. Andrews: The Miami City Commission at its February 27, 1975 meeting (Agenda Items 7-A, 7-B and 7-C) extended the above three variances and/or conditional uses for the six months ending September 18, 1975 at the request of the Applicant, Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged,. Inc. The building plans for addition of 120 beds have been com- pleted, and Federal approval is expected daily on a Hill -Burton loan, which will require competitive advertised bidding. For this reason, it will not be possible to have the process of bidding completed and the contract awarded to a general contractor prior to September 18, 1975. USt PPORTIVE f Mon. Paul Andrews, ,City Manager City of Miami August 14, 1915 Therefore, 1 have been requested to ask, on an emergency basis, that the Miami City Commission at its September 4 1975 meeting consider and grant an extension of at additional six (8) months, commencing at the expiration of the current extensions of the three variances, tt is anticipated that to further extensions will be required. t would appreciate being advised that this matter is on the Agenda, so that l can be present to answer any questions by the Commission if there are any. Since this is the only meeting by the City Commission prior to the expiration date, your indulgence will be greatly appreciated by placing this matter on the September 4th Agenda accordingly, Thank you very much.
