INCIDENTAL TO THE ACQUISITION.
WligktAS, Parcel No. 7096..V is a portion of the property
proposed to be acquired for the eXpansion of Downtown Riverfront,
More particularly known as Riverside Park: and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Miami approved the issuance
of bonds to provide the funds to defray the cost of such property
acquisition to provide for parks under the Parks for People Bond
Program; and
WHEREAS, the necessary moneys for said acquisition are
available in the 1972 Parks and Recreational Bond Fund; and
WHEREAS, the owner of Parcel No. 7096-V has, by agreement,
dated July 30, 1975, offered to convey fee simple title to this
property to the City of Miami for the appraised price of
$41,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best,interest of the City
of Miami to acquire this property at this time through negotiated
purchase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONtx

authorized to allocate the amount of $42,5OO.0O from the Parks
ana Recreational Facilities bond Fund to cover the oast of
acquisition of fee simple title to this property and other costs
incidental to acquisition.

The development of the Miami kiverfront is one of the projeCts to be
accomplished under the Parks for People Program. This portion it part
of the Downtown kiverfront that is being developed from Plagler Street
to the Dupont Plata, by the Downtown Development Authority.
As a result of a contact that has been made with the owner of the property
to be acquired, an offer has been made, and is recommended for acceptance
by the City Manager, to convey fee simple title of the following parcel
to the city of Miami.
Parcel 7096-V for the sum of $41,000 which was
the City's appraised value of this parcel.
The Department of Law concurs with this recommendation to acquire this
parcel of land at the appraised value.
Parcel 7096-V is trapezoidal in shape and has the following approximate
dimensions:
North Boundary
Easterly Boundary
South Boundary
Westerly Boundary (Frontage on Miami
River)
115.06 Ft.
106.07 Ft.
62.35 Ft.
105.74 Ft.
Area 9 063 Sq. Ft.
There are no improvements on this parcel of land.
The Miami City Commission is requested to adopt the proposed resolution
authorizing the purchase of this parcel and authorize the expenditure
necessary to cover the cost and other miscellaneous expenses of acquisition.
