THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on July 17, 1975 for
S.W. 8 AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT Si(-4387 in S.W. 8 AVENUE
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SK-4387: and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $1,613.50
bid of Tropical Industries, Inc. is the lowest responsive bid
and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Sidewalk Bond Fund" for the amount of the
contract for project expense and for advertising, testing
laboratories, postage and blueprinting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The July 17, 1975 bid of Tropical Industries,
Inc. in the amount of $1,613.50 for the project entitled S.W.
8 AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT SK-4387 in S.W. 8 AVENUE SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SK-4387, namely Items 1 through 4 of Proposal,
based on unit prices be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the
price stated therein.

REMARKS:
Section 2. The amount of $1,613.30 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost
of the contract.
Section 3. The additional amount of $300.50 be, and
it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover
the cost of advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing
and blueprinting by City Forces or outside vendor.
Section 4. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of
Miami with Tropical Industries, Inc. for S.W. 8 AVENUE SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENT SK-4387 in S.W. 8 AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT SK-4387.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31 day of JULY
1975.
