ItQ THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $ FOR S.W, 1 STREET PAVING PROJECT 1975; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $ 5 49P.1g. FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHWAY BOND FUND" TO COVER THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCAT. ING FROM ,SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $ 3549,22 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $ 70.9.59 TO COVER THE COST OF INCIDENTAL EXPENSE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received July 2h, 1975 for S.W. 1 STREET PAVING PROJECT 1975; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $ 35,492.19 bid or Stone Paving Co. is the lowest acceptable bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" for the estimated amount of the Contract, for Project Expense; and for Incidental Expense. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That' the July 24, 1975 bid of Stone Paving Co. In the estimated amount of $ 35,492.19 for the project entitled S. W. 1 STREET PAVING PROJECT- 1975, namely Items 1 thru 17 of Proposal, based on unit prices be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. That the amount of $ 35,492.19 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" to cover the estimated cost of the Contract. Section 3. That the amount of $ 3,549,22 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys and "DOCD.,1;•, T INDEX ITEM NO. 35 ft Section 4, That the amount of $ 709.5,9 beatd it inspection work performed by City Forces, is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to .cover the cost of ' Incidental Expense which includes R r'i `^� r, pry, r•.r.' r ry f 1 1� Dr but is not limited to such CITY CQMMISSION MEETING AF JUL 3 1197a b.76-O'o '+1 itetits as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing and blueprinting by City Forces or outside vendor. E.D.S.T. on the 24th day of July, 1975, in the City Clerk's Office, First Floor of tht Miami City Hall, 3500 Fan American Drive, Dinner Key, Miami., Florida 33133 at which tite and place they will be publicly opened and read. Briefly, the work will include the construction of roadway on S.W. 1 Street from S.W. 24 Avenue to S.W. 25 Avenue. Construction Will include asphaltic pavement, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks covered ditch drainage system and landsCaping. If any questions, call Mr. George V. Campbell, Jr., Highway Engineer, at 445-4391. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Specifi- cations may be obtained from the Director, Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and Specifications are to be returned in good order and unmarked within 30 days after bids have been received. Proposal includes the time of performance and specifi- cations contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete work on time.
