POR THIS PURPoSt.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received June 24, 1975 for the installation and assembly of play-
ground equipment for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eight (8) potential
suppliers and three (3) bids were received as per the attached
tabulation; and
WHEREAS, this equipment which was acquired near the be-
ginning of the year is to be installed at six (6) parks, namely,
Grove Mini Park, Pullman Park, Kirk Munroe Park, Bryan Park,
Triangle Park and Blanche Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager requests that Aries Marine
Corporation's bid be accepted at a total cost of $5,650.00 as it
was the most advantageous bid received by the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF.TVE
ITEM NO. 5
Section 1. The bid received from Aries Marine Corpora-
tion for installation and assembly of playground equipment at
six (6) parks, namely, Grove Mini Park, Pullman Park, Kirk Munroe
Park, Bryan Park, Triangle Park and Blanche Park be, and is here-
by, accepted at a total cost of $5,650.00 for Items 1, 2 and 3
as follows;

Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department to
issue a Purchase Order for this equipment; allocating funds from
the
"Parks for People" Program for this purpose.
