tn1HEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received 'lute 23, 1975 for furnishing forty tons of fertilizer for
the Parks and Recreation Department; for the Melreese Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-one (21)
potential suppliers and four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department recommends
the bid of F.E.C. Fertilizer Company, a Dade County Vendor, should
be accepted and the City Manager concurs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received from F.E.C. FERTILIZER
for furnishing forty tons of fertilizer be, and is hereby,
accepted at a total cost of $4,796.80 for"QOCU�Iuse bMUCC Pl-Xnd

Recreation Department.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department to
issue Purchase Orders for this material after first determing that
funds are available for this purpose.

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received
June 23, 1075 for furnishing forty tons of fertilizer
for the Parks and Recreation Department.
Invitations were mailed to twenty-one (21) potential
suppliers and four (4) bids were received as follows:

Atlantic Fertilizer Company
Clarke Chemical Company

This purchase is allocated in the 1974-75 Fiscal Year
Budget.
The fertilizer is to be used at the Melreese Golf
Course which is done at regular intervals throughout
the year.
It is requested that the award be made and a resolution
be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid as re-
ceived from Wendell Butler's Supply Company for furnish-
ing forty tons of fertilizer at a total cost of $4,782.40.
The Parks and Recreation Department, however, recommends
the award be made to F. E. C. Fertilizer Company since
they are a Dade County vendor. However, the quote of
Wendell Butler's Supply Company, a Ft. Lauderdale vendor,
is lower and meets all specifications.
