WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received July 14, 1975 for furnishing ReadyMix Concrete on a contract basis from date of award through September 30, 1976 for the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to sixteen (16) potential suppliers and eight (8) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the bid received from Rinker Materials Corporation be accepted at $18.00 per cu. yd. since it was the lowest responsive bid received; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received July 14, 1975 from Rinker Materials Corp. for furnishing ready -mix concrete on a contract basis from date of award through September 30, 1976 be, and is hereby accepted as follows: Price Per Bidder Cubic Yard Rinker Materials Corp. $18.00 Section 2. The concrete is purchased to repair usual sidewalk and other concrete repairs in the street right of tray by the Operations Division of the Public Works Department throughout the year. It is requested that the award be made and a resolution be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid as received from Rinker Materials Corporation for furnishing Ready -Mix 3,000 pound P.S.I.
