A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TFil BID OF OVIDIO P. RODRIGUEZ, JRr
IN TiE AMOUNT OF $78,750 FOR FARMS . SHELTERS & COMFORT
STATIONS 1975 (ITEMS 1 & 3); ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT of
$78,750 ACM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS &
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUNb'I TO COVER THE CONTRACT
COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $7,875
TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM
SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNTr OF $1, 575 TO COVER T HE COST OF
INCIDENTAL EXPENSE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WUEREAS, sealed bids were received on July 25, 1975 for PARKS ..
SHELTERS AND COMFORT STATIONS = 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $78,750 bid of 0vidio
P. Rodriguez, Jr. is the lowest acceptable bid for Items 1 & 3 of Proposal
and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and.
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account
entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" for the
amount of the Contract, for Project Expense; and for Incidental Expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the July 25, 1975 bid of Ovidio P. Rodriguez, Jr.
in the amount of $78,750 for the project entitled PARKS - SHELTERS
& COMFOHISTATIONS - 1975, namely Items 1 & 3 of Proposal, based on lump
sum bid be, and the same is hereby accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the amount of $78,750 be, and it is hereby,
allocated from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities
Bond Fund" to cover the cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the amount of $7,875 be, and it is hereby,
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense
which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work perfo d

Section 4. That the amount of $1,575 be, and^it isrhereb , allocated
from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Incidental Expense which includes
but is not limited to such items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage,

AD\TERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for "PARKS - SHELTER AND COMPORT STAT1ONS
1975" 3 Miami, Florida, will be received by the City Manager and
the City Clerk of The City of Miami, Florida, not later than 2 .00
P.M. E.D.S.T. on the 25th day of July, 1975, in the City Clerk's
Office, First Floor of the Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan Aferican
Drive, Dinner Key, Miami, Florida 33133 at which time and place
they will be publicly opened and read.
The job consists of the construction of two (2) Park
Shelters and two (2) large and two (2) small Comfort Stations.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the
Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Specifica-
tions may be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department
of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans
and specifications are to be returned in good order and unmarked
within 30 days after Bids have been received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifi-
cations contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to
complete the work on time.
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any
informality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject any or
all bids, and re -advertise.
