P.A.C.E. is the collective effort of a perforing arts coalition
striving to develop a more constructive atmcsphere for artistic
and cultural development. Starting in May, 1975, P.A.C.E., in
conjunction with the Music Performance Trust Funds, will bcgdn
a series of artistic prosenttions incorporating local musical
ensembles, dance compwlies, theatre grou.2., and other performin
arts organizations. Salaries - the single largust expense Ak.7:t -

gorized thu possible locations. Appcoximately 25% of the total
budoet for artists' Edlyie,.; will be allocated fur hxtist in
Schools. As a rcrlult of the success of an in -school pilot
project entitled "Cruss-Cu]tu,.al Awareness through Mniti -Cultural
Offerings," those projects will be rep.atd. in three counties -
Dado, Droward,and Palm Eoach.
The second category is concerned with servicing all types of
rehabilitative centers. The importancP of providing p3Jograms
for thu handicapped, the incorcerated, patients in hospitals,
in clinics, in jails, and in senior citizen centers,are without
a doubt an obligation of our society. Another 25% of the total
budget for artists' salaries is expected to serve those rehabil-
itative programs.
The third category concerns itself with general community develop-
ment, public service type programs which will assume the remaining
50% of the budget. Included in this area are concerts in the parks,
museums, libraries, recreation centers, shopping malls, downtown

P.A.C.E. is the collective efft .r•t: of 3 p_ rforming arts coalition
striving to develop a more constr:uctivc atmosphere for artistic
and cultural develop:ncllt. As a community effort, P.A.C.E. has
enlisted the support of several local artistic, .educational, govern-
mental and private rponnors. `through this interaction between the
artists and the community, P.A.C.E. intends to reinforce existing
resources, as well as to discovicer and to implement new ones.
