At a time when we, in our community, find ourselves with 12% unemployment it is essential that whenever possible we purchase products manufactured at home by our own people. I am all in favor of open trade but 1 am more dedicated to the concept of 'America First' and I feel that it all starts right here at home. The concept is as old as civilization itself and, -as the Bible says, "God helps those who help themselves" and "Charity begins at home". It would be my intent, if the City passes this resolution, to request the League of Cities to do the same, as well as Metro- politan Dade County. •
