A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $303000 FOR PROFESSIONAL
AND TECHNICAL SERVICES AND $7,000 FOR INCIDENTAL
EXPENSES FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS
AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND" FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE AFRICAN SQUARE PORTION OF THE
PR, MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement dated
February 18, 1975 for the development of the African
Square portion of the Dr, Martin Luther King Boulevard
Project; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to orov3.de the funds
for the fixed fee as agreed upon by the City, and other
incidental expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the amount of $30,000 for Professional
and Technical Services and $7,000 for Incidental Expenses
be, and they are hereby, allocated from the account entitled
"Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" for the
development of the African Square Portion of the Dr. Martin
Luther King Boulevard Project.

AFRICAN SQUARE PART: Resolution
Allocating Funds

On February 185 1975 the City of Miami entered into an
agreement with My Paul Friedberg & Associates for the
development of African Square Park, at NW 62 Street and
NW 14 Avenue. The consultant has completed the
preliminary plans and is preparing to start on contract
plans. In accordance with the agreement they are now
entitled to a certain portion of their•fee.
The City of Miami must provide survey services, demolish
additional buildings not presently under contract, and
provide incidentals necessary to complete the project.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF A
RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $30,000 FOR PROFESSIONAL AND
TECHNICAL SERVICES AND $7,000 FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES
FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS AND RECREATIONAL
FACILITIES BOND FUND" FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AFRICAN
SQUARE PORTION OF THE DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD
