WHEREAS, on April 22, 1975 the City of Miami Commission passed Resolution No. 75-40 which authorized the City Manager advertise and receive proposals from professional landscape architectural firms for professional design services for Pt. Dallas Park; and WHEREAS, six (6) firms responded to invitations to submit proposals and the Competitive Selection Committee appointed by the City Manager narrowed the choice to three (3) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: to Section 1. The following three (3) firms be, and they are hereby, judged most qualified to perform -professional landscape and design services for Ft. Dallas Park in the following order of priority: (1) Jonathon Seymour and David Scully (2) Henderson -Rosenberg and Associates (3) Ray Collins Associates Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to proceed with negotiations with "DOCUMENT IN EX ITEM NO. Dallas Park. This memorandum responds to that resolution. As a result of public advertisement and invitations to submit letters of interest and a brochure describing the firri is professional experience and background, the following six firms responded: Ted l3a.ker Group Ray Collins Associates J. B. Reark Henderson -Rosenberg and Associates OtLeary-Shafer Associates Jonathon Seymour and David Scully The material submitted by each firm was reviewed and evaluated by the Competitive Selection Committee appointed, by the City Manager. On the basis of multi -disciplinary staff capabilities, a wide range of professional experience, and a demonstrated excellence of design capability, the following three firms were judged most qualified to perform the needed services and are ranked in order of priority: 1. Jonathon Seymour and David Scully 2. Henderson -Rosenberg and Associates 3. Ray Collins Associates It is my recommendation that the City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing me to proceed with negotiations, in the order of priority as listed in this memorandum.
