ENTITLE► EDISON PLAZA, A SUBDIVISION OP THE CITY OP MIAMI, FLORIDA, AND ACCEPTING THE DEDICATIONS SHOWN ON SAID PLAN" AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLEAR TO EXECUTE THE PLAN'. WHEREAS the City Zchirig Board and the Department of Public Works have recommended the .acceptance of the plat en EDISON PLAZA; and WHEREAS, on January 9, 1975, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 75-5 closing for public use that portion of N.W. 55th Street lying within the property platted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Plat entitled EDISON PLAZA being a resubdivision of a portion of Blocks 3 and 4 Railroad Shops Inter -School Tract (Plat Book 3, Page 192) and of Lots 11 and 12 of SANTRY'S Resubdivision (Plat Book 9, Page 139), Miami, Dade County, Florida, which by reference is made a part hereof as if fully incorporated herein and the dedications as shown thereon together with all existing and future planting, trees and shrubbery on said property, to the perpetual use of the public, be and the same are hereby accepted and confirmed by the City of Miami, Florida. Section 2. Except for the construction of those improvements provided for in the Agreement entered into between Dade County and the City of Miami, Florida, the requirements of Chapter 54, Section 54-20, Code of the City of Miami, Florida and State law as to improvements to be made in subdivisions will hereby expressly be waived. Section 3, The requirements of Chapter 54, Section 54-20 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida and State law concern- ing the posting of a Performance Bond to guarantee the construction of subdivision improvements is hereby expressly waived CITY COMMJSSt "DOCUMENT. Section 5. The requirements of State law concerning the showing of grades of rights of way on the Plat are hereby expressly waived. Section '6. EDISON PLAZA Resolution Accepting Pr"opo,ed Record Plat RfrERLNcE:s: ENCLOSURES: West Side N.W. 2 Avenge $etweet N.W. 55 Street & N.W. 56 Street The Proposed Record Plat entitled EDISON PLAZA is a replat of previously platted property located in N.D.P. Area 2. The purpose of this plat is to close a portion of N.W. 55 Street and to consolidate the existing lots into one tract, having a total area of 2.08 acres. This property is zoned R-2, C-4 and C-5. This plat is being forwarded to your office for City Commission action. The attached detailed report from the Department of Public Works recommends the approval of the plat by the City Commission of Miami, Florida, and certifies its correctness as to form. Also attached are the following itemized papers necessary to present the Plat to the City Commission of Miami: (1) Form of Resolution accepting the Plat (2) Print of proposed Record Plat (3) Agreement form pertaining to subdivision improvements (4) Opinion of Title (5) Memorandum from the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Authority waiving the requirement to install water mains and appurtenances (6) Portion of City Atlas Sheet No. 13 showing property platted colored in red VEG : GFJ :`me t THE CITY •OF 14IAI I3•TiLORIDA • bEPART 'IEN T OF PUI3LIC WORKS April 223 1975 REPORT OF PROPOSED RECORD PLAT OF EDISON PLAZA • A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA The accompanying Plat entitled EDISON PLAZA was prepared by Wenceslao Ortega. It is in correct form for submission to the City Commission and is forwarded with a recommendation that it be approved. PERTINENT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PLAT: (1) The property platted is located on the West Side of N.W. 2 Avenue between N.W. 55 Street and N.W. 56 Street. It is a replat of previously platted property including a portion of street right of way. This property is consolidated into one tract having an area of 2.08 acres and is zoned R-2, C-4 and C-5. (2). The location of the streets and the widths conform with the standards of the Department of Public Works of the City of Miami, Florida. (3) As certified to by Wenceslao Ortega, Registered Land Surveyor, this Plat complies with the plat filing laws of the State of Florida. (4) The City Planning and Zoning Board of Miami, Florida, after Public Hearing, has recommended the closing of the portion of N.W. 55 Street lying within the property platted. This action was confirmed by City Commission Resolution No. 75-5• (5) By authority of Resolution No. ZB-198.74, adopted December 2, 1974, the Plat was recommended for acceptance by the City Zoning Board of Miami. (6) The attached Certificate of Title Examination dated March 20, 1975, signed by Robert A. Ginsburg, Attorney, indicated that the fee simple title to the property platted is correctly vested in Dade County. (7) (8) The area platted is not encumbered by tnortgages. (9) Relocation of sanitary sewers will be required, Permanent type bulkhead and fill will not be required. Water mains and appurtenances have been previously placed and accepted.
