COVER THE CoST of THE MARINE STADIUM= BARGE
COVER - 1975 AS1 OLLoWSt CONTRACT COST - $4,189;
PRodEcT COST $2,018.90; INCIDENTAL EXPENSES
INCLUDING ADVERTISING, TESTING AND REPRODUCTION
SERVICES $403.10: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRoViDING SVERAgILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the Barge Cover
at, the Marine Stadium and also the framework to support the
cover; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the aforesaid work including
engineering and incidental expenses has been totalled at
$22,611 and funds are available for allocation from the Marine
Stadium Fund Balance; and
WHEREAS, $16,000 has been provided in the 1974-75 "=•
Marine Stadium Budget; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of
peace, health, safety and property of the City of Miami that
the work be accomplished as expeditiously as possible and that
this Ordinance be adopted as an emergency measure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:`
Section 1. Appropriations Ordinance No. 8316 adopted
October 10, 1974 is hereby amended to providefor the additional
appropriation of $6,611 from the Marine Stadium Fund Balance to
cover the cost of the MARINE STADIUM - BARGE COVER - 1975 as
follows;
(a) Contract Cost
(b) Project Expenses
(c) Incidental Expenses

Section Lk This ordthafle is hereby declared to be
an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need fOr
the preservation ,of peace, health, safety and property in the
City of itiami.
Section 5. The requirement of reading this ordinance
on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not
less than four -fifths of the -Members -of the Commission.
Section 6. The provisions of this ordinance shall
become effective on JUNE 22, 1975.

In preparation for renting a canopy for the Marine Stadium Floating Stage
during the summer trionths, it will be necessary to amend the Appropria=
tion Ordinance to provide necessary funding.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC FACILITIES RECOMMENDS
THAT THE COMMISSION ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMEND.
ING THE APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 8316 TOP.ROVIDE
$4, 000 FROM THE MARINE STADIUM FUND 13ALANCE FOR
THE PURPOSE OF RENTING A CANOPY FOR THE FLOATING
STAGE AT THE CITY OF 'MIAMI MARINE STADIUlvi: DECLAR-
ING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEASURE,
AND AUTFIORIZING THE CITY MA.NAGER TO ESTABLISH
THE EFFECTIVE DATE, AND TO WORK OUT OPERATIONAL
DETAILS OF SUCH RENTAL AS MAY BE REQUIRED.
