Your May 15, 1975 memorandum requested information oft the special reimbursement
funds the City has received under Public Law 92-500 "Federal Water Pollution Control
At Amendment 1972" For a number of year various municipalities were required
to provide 100% fina.ncing for constructing pollution control projects because Federal
grant finds were not available to assist in providing these improvements. Recently,
the Federal Government under Public Law 92-500 provided funds to partially reim-
burse those cities who proceeded with these pollution control projects even though
Federal assistance was not available at the time, The language of Public Law 92 -500
is rather general and does not specify the utilization of these special reimbursement
funds.
The City has received almost all of the reimbursement funds expected, This amount
totals $354, 254. As of May 16, 1975, these funds have been programmed for the
following projects:

Res. 75 - 462, May 8, 1975

A resolution programming the balance of the special reimbursements received
will be offered at the Stine 12 Commission meeting, It will be recommended
that this balance of approximately $114,000 be appropriated as follows.:
City Hall Air Conditioning Improvements

Attached is a draft copy of a. resolution that the City Attorney is now putting in
final form. This resolution will allocate the balance of these funds for the above
program and will be offered for Commission consideration at the June 12th
meeting.
