FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL
FACILITIES BOND FUND" TO COVER THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT
COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF
$1,352.50 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $270.50
TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING,
TESTING LABORATORIES, POSTAGE, ETC,; AND AUTHORIZ,-
ING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID
FIRM
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on June 2, 1975
KINLOCH PARK IMPROVEMENTS - 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $13,525
bid of C. A. Davis, Inc. is the lowest acceptable bid and
recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond
Fund" to cover the estimated amount
the Contract, for
Project Expense; and for such items as Advertising, Testing
Laboratories, Postage, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the June 2, 1975 bid of C. A. Davis,
Inc. in the amount of $13,525 for the project entitled
KINLOCH PARK - IMPROVEMENTS - 1975, namely Additive Items 1 & 2
of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby,
accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2, That the amount of $13,525 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Public Parks &
Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the estimated cost
of the Contract.
Section 3, That the amount of $1,352,50 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys and
inspection work performed by City Forces.

Section 4. That the amount of $270.50 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost or such items as Advertisiing, Testing taboratoriee,
Postage, etc.
Section 5 That the City Manager be, and he is
hereby, authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of The City
of Miami with C. A. Davis, Inc., for the KINLOCH PARK
IMPROVEMENTS - 1975

ENCLOSURES:
}aids were received June 2, 1975 to renovate the
existing Community Building at Elnioch Park, 455
N. W. 47 Avenue; also the construction of one
hand ball court and the resurfacing of existing
basketball courts.
As reflected in the attached tabulation of bids, the
$76,045 bid of Ad-A-Lite, Inc. was the lowest acceptable
bid for Base Bid of the Proposal; and the $13,525 bid
of C. A. Davis, Inc. was the lowest acceptable bid
for Additive Items 1 & 2 of the Proposal.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF
THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED'
DUNE 2, 1975 OF AD-A-LITE, INC., IN THE ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF $76,045 FOR BASE BID OF PROPOSAL; AND THE
I3ID OF C. A. DAVIS, INC. IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$13,525 FOR ADDITIVE ITEMS 1 & 2 OF PROPOSAL; ALLOCAT-
ING FUNDS FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS &
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND"; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT IN BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THE KINLOCH PARK - IMPROVE-
MENTS - 1975.
