A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF P,J. CONSTRUCTORS,
INC. IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $581127430 FOR N4W,
11 STREET PAVING PROJECT 1975; ALLOCATING THE
AMOUNT OF $58)127,30 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED 'HIGH..
WAY BOND FUNDS' TO COVER THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT COST;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $5012.73
TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM
SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $1,162,97 TO COVER THE COST
OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES,
POSTAGE) ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received On Jung 2, 1975
for N. W. 11 STREET PAVING PROJECT - 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $58,127.30
bid of P. J. Constructors, Inc. is the lowest acceptable bid
and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" for the estimated amount
of the Contract, for Project Expense, and for such items as
Advertising, Testing Laboratories, Postage, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the June 2, 1975 bid of P. J.
Constructors, Inca in the estimated amount of $58,127.30 for
the project entitled N. W. 11 STREET PAVING PROJECT - 1975,
namely Total Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices be, and the
same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the amount of $58,127.30 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Highway Bond
Fund" to cover the estimated cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the amount of $5,812.73 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys
and inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4, That the amount of $1,162.97 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the

Bids were received June 2, 1975 to rebuild N.W. 11
Street from N.W. 22nd to N.W. 23rd Avenue with full
width paving, sidewalk, curb and gutter, landscaping
median, and drainage as necessary.
As reflected in the attached tabulation of bids, the
$58,127.30 bid of P. J. Constructors, Inc. was the
lowest acceptable bid.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED JUNE 2, 1975 OF
P.J. CONSTRUCTORS, INC. IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$58,127.30 FOR THE N.W. 11 STREET PAVING PROJECT 1975;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHWAY BOND
FUND" FOR THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT, FOR PROJECT
EXPENSE; AND FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT IN BEHALF OF THE CITY OF

Sealed bids for construction of "N.W. 11 'H •S BEET
PAVING PROJECT" will be received by the City Manager and the
City Clerk of The City of Miami, Florida at 2'.'O0 P.M. E.f.S.'i'.
on the 2nd day of June, 1975, in the City Clerkts Office,
First Floor of the Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive,
Dinner Eey, Miami, Florida 33133 at which time and place they
will be publicly opened and read.
Briefly, the work will include the construction of
roadway on N.W. 11 Street from N.W. 22 Avenue to 200'± West
of N.W. 23 Avenue.
Conruction will include asphaltic pavement, concrete
curbs'_,and gutters, sidewalk, modifications to existing positive
drainage and landscaping.

Highway Engineer.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the
Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Spec-
ifications may be obtained from the Director, Department of
Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans
and Specifications are to be returned in good order and un-
marked within 30 days after bids have been received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and spec-
ifications contain provisions for liquidated damages for
failure to complete work on time.
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any
informality in any bid, and may reject any or all bids, and
readvertise.
