A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF HENRY DeGRAFF
AND SUN, INC: IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $20,189
FOR THE MARINE STADIUM - BARGE COVER 1975 AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 30, 1975
for the MARINE STADIUM - BARGE COVER * 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the
$20,189 bid of Henry DeGraff and Son, Inc, is the lowest
acceptable bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to
said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in
the account entitled "Marine Stadium Fund Balance".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the May 30, 1975 bid of Henry
DeGraff & Son, Inc. in the estimated amount of $20,189 for
the project entitled MARINE STADIUM BARGE COVER - 1975,
namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and
the same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the City Manager
be, and he is
hereby, authorized to enter into a Contract on
City of Miami with Henry DeGraff and Son, Inc.
STADIUM - BARGE COVER - 1975.

canvas cover for the barge at the Marine Stadium
i.nd also new framework to support the cover.
An emergency ordinance will be passed at the June 12,
IT/5 meeting appropriating additional funds for this
r1oj ct; from the "Marine Stadium Fund Balance".

acceptable bid.

The project consists of furnishing and installing a Vinyl
coated polyester fabric canopy type barge cuter on the City owned
Barge at the Marine Stadium located on Rickenbacker Causeway.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the
Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Specifi-
cations may be obtained from the Office of the. Director,
Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami,
Florida. Plans and specifications are to be returned in good
condition and unmarked within 30 days after bids have been
received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifica-
tions contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to
complete the work on time.
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any
informality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject any or
all bids, and re -advertise.

CHANGE 1: SPECIFICATIONS - DIVISION 2 - SPECIAL PROVISIONS -
SECTION 2.02 DIZCRIP'f'XON OF THE PROJECT
Change Section 2.02, Description of the Project, item 2
and 5 to read:
"2. The contractor shall be responsible for the instal-
lation of the canopy. The contractor shall supply new
3/16 inch braided nylon rope for canopy lacing and new
3/8 inch stranded nylon rope for canopy support rigging.
Supply of existing pulleys will be used until exhausted.
Any necessary replacements or additional will be paid
for from the Cash Allowance."
"5. Existing fiberglass canopy support bows are located
at the City of Miami 12th Avenue Bridge and will be used
after modifications and/or repair, as shown on plan sheet
No . 5 Note that: the two new canopy support bows will be
fabricated from fiberglass to the same or equal specifica-
tion as the City -owned bows."
NOTE: Technical assistance will be available from Public Works
Supervisor, Herman Bri.dwell, if the contractor will make
prior arrangements. However, this will not absolve the
contractor from complete responsibility to supply all
necessary manpower to install an acceptable canopy.

ALL BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIPIED AS POLLOWS
CHANGE 1: PROPOSAL - PAGE 2a
In Page 2a of the Proposal, delete references to 25
working days, and substitute therefor 40 working days.
Also, add to the first paragraph in this page the
following:
"Orders shall be placed for purchase of materials
necessary for completion of this contract within
5 days of notice from the Engineer to begin work.
Time necessary for the delivery of this material
will not be charged against the 40 working days
allowed for completion of the contract."
THIS ADDENDUM IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND
SHALL BE MADE A PART THEREOF.
