A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BtD RECEIVED
FROM ATLANTIC FOUNDATION CO. INC. IN THE
AMOUNT 0P $461,000 FOR THE BICENTENNIAL
PARK m PHASE II m 1975 (SEAWALL), AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM; FUNDS
ALLOCATED FOR THIS PURPOSE FROM PUBLIC
PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 11, 1975
for the construction of BICENTENNIAL PARK
(SEAWALL); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $461,000.00
bid of Atlantic Foundation Co., Inc. is the lowest responsive
bid and recommends, in concurrence with Edward D. Stone &
Associates, that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds were previously allocated for the above
named project by Resolution No. 74-1326,.dated December 2, 1974
from Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
Section 1. The bid received from Atlantic Foundation
Co., Inc. in the amount of $461,000.00 for the BICENTENNIAL PARK -
PHASE II - 1975 (SEAWALL), namely Base Bid of Proposal plus
Alternate No. 1, Alternate No. 2, and Alternate No. 3 be, and is
hereby, accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the proper City Officials
to execute a contract with said firm; funds allocated for
this purpose from Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund.,_
12 day of JUNE 1975.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for "BICENTENNIAL PARK PHASE II 1g7S (project
No. 2 - Sea Wall)" will be received by the City Manager and the City
Clerk of The City of Miami, Florida, not later than 2:00 P.M. E.D1S.i'.,
on the llth day of dude, , 1975, in the City Clerk's office, First
Floor of the Miami City Hall, 3S00 Pan American Drive, Dinner Key,
Miami, Florida 33133, at which time and place they will be publicly
opened and read.
The project consists of improvements to existing sea walls
by renovation of deteriorated sections, capping existing walls, cut-
ting existing sheet piling and excavation and backfill behind walls
as required. New improvements consist of placing precast concrete
sheet piling, capping wall, placing of wooden boat bumpers along
new and existing wall and excavation and backfill on both sides of
new walls as required. All work to be performed at the site of the
former Port of Miami on Biscayne Blvd.
All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instruc-
tions to Bidders and Specifications. Plans and Specifications may
be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department of Public
Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and specifi-
cations are to be returned in good condition and unmarked within
30 days after bids have been received.
Proposal includes the time of performance and Specifica-
tions contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to
complete the work on time.
The City Commission reserves the right to waive any infor-
mality in any bid, and the City Manager may reject any or all bids,
and re -advertise.
