IMPLEMENT A M/AMI..SUMMER ' ER EMPLOYMENT
PR O AM.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is eligible to receive
U. S. Department of labor funds for the operation of a Summer
Teen Employment Program to commence June l9th through
August 8th, 1975; and
WHEREAS, 660 jobs will be available for disadvantaged
residents of the City from 16 through 21 years of age; and
WHEREAS, participants in the program are to work a
maximum of 25 hours per week for seven (7) weeks at $2.10
per hour;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The action taken by the City Manager to
enter into an agreement with the Manpower Planning Consortium
of Dade and Monroe Counties to implement a Miami -Summer Teen
Employment Program. is hereby ratified.

The City of Miami is entitled to reoeive U. S. Department
of Labor funds to operate a Summer Teen Dmployment Program
in 1975.
This program will run from June 19th through August 6th.
There will be 660 job slots available for disadvantaged
young residents of the City aged 16 to 21 years. Partic-
ipants will work not more than 25 hours per week for seven
weeks at $2.10 per hour.
The following City departments will participate in the Teen
Program
Building Department
Civil Service
Finance Department
Fire Department
Mayor's Office
Parks and Recreation Dept.
Publicity abd Tourism
Public Works Department
Sanitation Department
