Dear Canon Cibsont
On 13-16 November4 1975 the Youth Commission of the Diocese
of Southeast Florida will sponsor a Bicentennial Event
celebrating the Four Freedoms. We anticipate a gathering
significantly larger than that assembled for the Michaelmas
Celebration of September, 1974. Events will include a
"Williamsburg Dinner on Thursday Evening to be convened at
the Bayfront Auditorium in Miami on 13 November= Contests
in Essay, Art, and Music for school children throughout the
Diocese which will culminate in a final judging at the
Cathedral on Friday, 14 Novembers a Four Freedoms Festival
Day on Saturday, 15 November (in the model of the Michaelmas
'Celebration) and a final joyous service of Thanksgiving on
Sunday Evening,-16 November. We have among our distinguished'
guests for these activities the Bishop of London and - the
Rector of Christ Church Philadelphia.
This promises to be one of the most exciting events in the
life of the Diocese. It is our-priviledge to be able to
respond to the larger community and its Bicentennial Third
Century Celebration as an integral and acknowledged part of
Miami's Official Bicentennial Program.
It is in this regard that I would enquire if it is possible
through your good offices, to request that the City help us
in this effort by recinding the usual service charge levied on
plAyfront Auditorium for our YPf 2i msbur-g

percent for such use, Needless to say,
charge would he of great benefit to our
budget
Thank you for your continued oonoern and
forward to your response
Faithfully,
John Mi Palmer XIX
